Berlin as a location is used in various ways for teaching and research at the ISR. In terms of history, society, architecture and economics, the city offers an interesting field of research, as well as special experiences with its unique identity. Furthermore, the teaching offered by the seven chairs is complemented with Regional Planning in International Context, Urban Sociology, Ecology and Landscape Planning. The degree brings together technical, social, economic, legal and planning principles, which reflect the multidimensional nature of planning tasks in practice. The degree is a preparation for working in various fields according to individual specialisation (administration, planning agency and research in a local, national and international context).
